Incomplete gold object, possibly a boss from a brooch or other piece of jewellery. The reverse is recessed. The obverse exhibits a central oval reserve set with a turquoise stone or paste setting. This is surrounded by four triangular cells, one at each of the cardinal points. Each cell exhibits an oval recess, one of which retains traces of a turquoise setting. The other three cells retain traces of an adhesive or cement. Between the triangular cells are trapezoidal cells, each retaining two recesses for stone or paste settings. A 19th century oval gold locket. The locket is hinged into two valves and has retained its contents. On the front of the locket is an engraved horse's head above a coronet, signifying a family. Within one valve is a sheet of paper with a linen backing and part of a glass protective layer. The paper is presumably the remains of a photograph but nothing is now visible. The remainder of the contents are n olnger clear but include some apparent hair, the wing of an insect and other material not readily identifiable.

An undiagnostic rod of twisted gold formed from at least two strands of uniform thickness, bent into an elliptical, penannular shape . Both terminals are spatulate, having been roughly flattened. The makers mark LJ Co is stamped on one terminal. Wear visible on upper face of outer surface. The object is probably a bracelet. XRF analysis of the surface indicates that it is gold alloy close to 9 carat gold. Non-destructive X-ray fluorescence analysis of the surface of this bracelet, indicated it to be of a gold alloy close to that of 9 carat gold - approximately 36% gold, 9% silver,…

Modern gold object, probably a jewellery fitting. The object is circular in plan and slightly domed. The upper surface is decorated with six dividing segments, alternating plan and with incised lines radiating from the centre. There is also three small pieces on the upper surface which appear to 'claw' the external edge of the body but do not extend to the reverse. On the reverse, there is a thin tubular attachment in the centre which has a hole running the length of the tube and piercing the front.
