An Iron Age gold quarter stater of the Catuvellauni, attributed to Tasciovanos and dating to the period c. 25 BC-AD 10, Rudd's 'Tasciovanos Rings' type (ABC 2592). Obverse: curved crossed wreaths, back-to-back crescents at centre, ring in angles. Reverse: Horse left, bucranium above, TASCI around. Reference: ABC, p. 129 no 2592; BMC 1645. The coin is 11mm in diameter, 1.9mm maximum thickness, and weighs 1.37g.

An Iron Age gold quarter stater of Tasciovanus of the Catuvellauni tribe and dating from c. 20 BC - AD 10. Obverse shows TASC inside quad with lines above and below and an 'O' to the right. Reverse shows a winged horse (Pegasus) left, pellet in front. See Rudd, C. Ancient British Coinage cf. no.2601. Also see Hobbs, R. This coinage originated in the region north of the Thames and to the east, with distribution centring on Essex and Hertfordshire. Coins have been found previously in Oxfordshire.
