A gold quarter noble of Edward III (AD 1327 - 1377), Pre-Treaty period (AD 1351 - 1361), a mule with obverse as Series B (North number 1141) with cross 1 initial mark and a pellet below the shield, and reverse probably as Series E (North number 1162) though the initial cross looks more like cross 3 (Series G). There is a spelling error in the reverse legend which reads: EXALTABITVR annulet IN GNLORIA. The erroneous letter is not clear and may be a backwards F (et). Another example with a similar spelling mistake is SF-CB2C57. The coin is 19.9mm diameter, 0.53mm thick and 1.87g. There …
