A gold Roman aureus of Claudius (AD 41-54), Mint of Rome dating to AD 41-2 (Reece period 2). The reverse depicts DE GERMANIS on architrave of triumphal arch surmounted by equestrian statue left between two trophies. RIC I, p. 122, no. 3.
