Obverse: highly stylised boar Reverse: S-shaped design with a ring-pellet in each cusp; a pair of anthropomorphic half-faces with curved brows triangular nose and round eyes positioned either side of the S-shape. Gold Roman finger ring with inscribed bezel (c. AD 43 - 200). The finger ring has a rectangular-sectioned hoop which widens from a very narrow point to a flat, rectangular bezel. The bezel appears to have been stamped with a rectangular stamp (the outline of which is faintly visible). Incised onto the bezel within the rectangular outline are three initials: G B R.
