An incomplete gold pin dating to the post medieval or early modern period, c. AD 1750-1850. Only half of the hollow head of the pin survives. Similarly to ESS-A014C8, the outer surface of the head is decorated with golden pellets of different sizes, each surrunded by rope work filigree. Around what would have been the circumference of the complete head, there are five settings, only three of which still have their small circular blue inlay stone,which may be turquoise. Discussion: From BERK-A92065"Known as the 'Gallic War uniface' stater these coins were struck by the Ambiani in northern France almost certainly during the Gallic War [period] (c. 60-50 BC ) and imported into Britain during the late first century BC. These gold coins are frequently found in southern Britain where they circulated in large numbers, and where some [varieties] may also have been produced."

A complete gold post-medieval finger ring, a posy or poem ring of late 17th or early 18th century date. The finger ring has a plain D-shaped band with internal inscription in cursive script which reads 'for virtues sake my wife I take'. Following the inscription is a maker's mark of IB within a sub-rectangular cartouche. Finger rings with similar cursive script are dated from c. 1650 - 1750 AD however the maker's mark may be that of Joseph Berry, who is recorded as being 'Free of the Goldsmiths' Company' AD 1675 - 1697 (date of death unknown). A complete gold medieval finger ring with blue/black stone insert (damage to stone). The band of the finger ring is rectangular in cross section with moulded blocks of quatrefoil / saltire decoration separated with rows of raised pellets around the circumference of the loop. Either side of the trapezoidal bezel is lettering that may be an abbreviation of a religious or personal nature; the letters appear to consist of I O L V M [?] (read left to right, top row first). A complete gold medieval finger ring with seal intaglio and inscription. The finger ring has a plain oval loop, D-shaped in section (more angular near the bezel) with an oval bezel set within the arms of the hoop. The bezel has a bevelled edge and an blue / black glass (?) intaglio within. The intaglio is of Roman date and appears to depict a satyr advancing right with a pedum over his shoulder and possibly holding an animal in his hand (pers. comm. Martin Henig in litt. 25.07.19). Description Complete, slightly buckled and oblated gold finger ring. The single strand hoop is regularly twisted around its entire circumference. There is no makers mark or casting seam but there is a rather crude transverse butted solder joint with small amounts of surface splatter present on the diametrically opposed inner face.
