A folded fragment of gold strip or ribbon, dating to the Bronze Age c. 2350-800 BC. The ribbon is rectangular in plan and made from a beaten sheet of gold. It has been folded or bent out of shape in several locations. One surface of the ribbon is decorated with thirteen regular, longitudinal, incised grooves, creating ridges. The exterior longitudinal edges are slightly thicker than the internal ridges, creating a border to the band. Both terminals appear to have been cut leaving a straight edge.
