An incomplete Iron Age gold stater, North Eastern, Uninscribed 'Kite' type attributed to the Corieltavi, dating from c. BC 20 - AD 10. Hobbs (1996) page 174, and Plate 103, No 3181. Diameter: 18.6 mm Thickness: 3.3 mm Weight: 4.7 g Hobbs (1996) dates these coins from the mid to late First Century BC. Ref: Hobbs, R. (1996) British Iron Age Coins in the British Museum, British Museum Press, London.

A gold finger ring identified by Peter Spencer as a serjeant-at-law's ring dating from AD 1654. The ring has a wide flat hoop with strengthening ridges round the top and bottom and is inscribed on the outer face: "LEGE VIGENTE PROTEGIMVR". This inscription relates to the law, and perhaps means "protected by the law" or "defended by the law". The lettering is in Roman capitals, and many of the uprights have double lines. A complete but misshapen and fractured post-Medieval gold 'fede' posy finger-ring (c. 1620-c. 1720). Treasure case no. 2016 T615. The bezel is in the form of hands clasping a heart and two projections at each end of the bezel may represent a cuff. The outer face off the hoop is plain and the inside has an italic inscription in lower case: 'Twas mine now tis yours' The outer face of the finger-ring is very worn. 21.2mm (length); 13.0mm (width); 2.1mm (thickness). Weight: 1.22g.

A complete gold and garnet oval shaped finger ring of late medieval date, c. 1300-1500. The hoop flattens and widens towards the shoulders with a central ridge with a central ridge running along the length. The hoop is stretched and broken conducive with being caught and dragged by a plough which is the likely cause. Gold finger ring with a D-shape cross-section hoop. The flat inside is engraved with the inscription 'When this you see rember me' followed by the letter M which looks like an arch with a small internal projection at its apex, this would most likley be the makers mark. A gold penannular 'lock ring' of Bronze Age date (c. 1150 - 800 BC). The ring is triangular in section with flat terminals. The outer two faces of the object are decorated with a series of ribs, whilst the internal face is undecorated. Dimensions: outer diameter: 14.49 mm; inner diameter: 6.35 mm; thickness: 4.45 mm; weight: 4.12g. Gold plated copper alloy rings of a similar shape and style have been processed as Treasure (cf. 2009 T513). A gold annular brooch. The object is circular in shape, triangular in section and terminates in two clasped hands. There are two quatrefoils or flower motifs, cast in relief onto the outer surface which is formed of two facets from the triangular section of the object. One motif is opposite the clasped hands, whilst the other is opposite a constriction in the frame, onto which the pin is attached.
