Gold annular brooch of medieval date (c. 1200 - 1400AD). The brooch is circular in plan with a D-shaped cross section. The reverse is flat and the upper face in convex. The frame has a constriction for the pin which is clasped around the narrow point. The pin is an elongated triangular shape in plan, with a circular section. The pin has a transverse ridge which is incised with a decorative pattern. A complete gold engraved posy finger ring of probable medieval date. The band if flat and the outside is engraved with intermittent floral sprigs and words. The engraved flowers have four or five petals and leaves are sub ovoid in shape. The inscription, written in English black letter, reads 'god* is* al* m*' which could be an abbreviation for 'god is almighty'. The ring is bent out of shape but is otherwise in good condition with little visible damage. There is no maker's mark. TREASURE CASE : 2017 T85. A complete though distorted 'fede' finger ring of Post-Mediveal date, c. AD 1620 - 1720. The bezel is in the form of two hands, one clasped in the other, with a heart projecting between them to the upper edge. Each hand projects from an elaborate lace-like ruffed cuff. A complete gold finger ring with a hexagonal faceted bezel and an irregular and possibly repurposed sapphire cabochon setting. Gold finger ring with a fragment of the sapphire stone still intact within the collet. The collet is rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in profile with sloping sides, that measure 3 mm long by 2 mm wide in the open bezel or rim, and expand to 6.5 mm long by 5 mm wide at the base of the collet. The stone appears to be sub-rectangular cabochon, polished but not faceted, and designed to fit in the upper aperture of the setting, but has since dropped to the bottom of the setting, once presumably the material holding it in place has decayed or corroded away. An incomplete gold strip brooch dating to the Middle Anglo-Saxon period. The brooch comprises a flat, elongated lozengiform plate, slightly asymmetrical in shape, tapering towards wire-like terminals which have been hammered into a square section. One terminal forms a closed loop and the other an open hook, representing the remains of a pin mechanism. The front of the plate is decorated with a border of triangular notches, irregularly spaced and sized. Some heavy scratches are present. The back of the brooch is plain.
