A small ingot of gold of Unknown date. The ingot is sub-rectangular in cross-section, tapering and faceted. Rounded at each end. 7-8 small cut marks on one edge at the narrower end. Length 20.5mm, Width 6.4mm, Thickness 4.7mm. Weight 4.81g. Treasure case no. 2006 T402 (determined not to be Treasure). It is not possible to give a date to this ingot. It may or may not be more than 300 years old, therefore, due to the undiagnostic nature of the find, it can not be securely dated to pre-1706 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
