Description: A fragment of cut gold possible rod of an uncertain date. The rod is broadly circular and has been hammered flat towards both breaks (narrowing from 6mm thick to 1.75mm thick). One break appears to have been cut and subsequently deliberately hammered flat, the other has been bent upwards at the break and no evidence of cutting is visible. A Roman gem-set gold finger ring. The finger ring is broadly circular in plan though slightly distorted. The plain band is of softened rectangular cross section. The broad triangular shoulders are decorated with transverse mouldings and feathered edges. The bezel (9.85mm in length and 3.85mm wide) comprises a row of three raised sub-rectangular/ ovoid rubbed-over box-settings (2.75mm high), the central one flanked by three tiny gold spherical pellets (the fourth one now missing). The two outer settings contain green-coloured gems, but the centre setting is now empty.

A Post-Medieval gold finger-ring (or posy ring) inscribed * harts + content x cannot x repent on the inside of the hoop. It measures 21.80mm in diameter (internal 18.44mm) and weighs 6.37g. An incomplete gold medieval annular brooch, dating to the period AD 1100-1500. It is incomplete insofar as the pin is missing and two stones or gems, which would have rested within the inserts either side, have now been lost. The brooch measures 15.73mm in width, 17.81mm in height, the thickness of the brooch frame measures 3.31mm. A complete gold post-medieval posy ring, dating to the period AD 1700-1800. It has a D-shaped band with a flat inner side and a plain exterior. The interior is inscribed with a 'posey': 'Godly love will not remove' followed by a stamped makers mark, the letter written in lower case e in bracket. The finger ring measures 20.65mm in diameter, is 1.8mm thick and weighs 3.1g. Posy rings were popular love tokens and were often exchanged as betrothal or wedding gifts. An Iron Age base gold Savernake Forest stater from East Wiltshire dating to c 50-35 BC. The state depicts a skinny horse facing right with a pellet mane and solar spiral above and large below and with various pellets around. The reverse is undecorated. A gold medieval finger ring dating to the 15th century. It is a double (bipartite) ring, 22.14mm in diameter. The hoop is 7.32mm wide. There are no hallmarks. On the inside of the hoop joye sanz fyn (joy without end) is inscribed. The outside of the ring shows signs of wear, with some of the incised decoration difficult to identify but the main part is a series of saltire crosses (with diamond or lozenge shapes between) created where closely grouped parallel lines cross the junction between the rings. Description: A fragment of a gold torc. The torc consists of an elongated shape bar that is broken on both ends and circular in cross section. One of the ends has been hammered and flattened. Dimensions: The fragment measures 25.71mm in length, 7.61mm in maximum width 5.72mm thick. The object weighs 6.89g. A complete gold posey finger-ring, dating to the post medieval period of c.1500 AD-c.1720 AD. The band is sub circular in cross surface and its anterior surface is plain gold with very little damage to it. On the posterior surface, there is an inscription: "Noe riher to content” with a WM as a makers mark. The band of the ring is c.21mm in diameter, 1.11mm thick, and weights 2.66g.

A post-medieval gold zoomorphic seal matrix, dating to the period AD 1750-1900. It is formed of a handle and a base, which is inset with an engraved glass setting. The handle is a snake biting its own tail, with the looped and overlapping body providing the handle and small loop for this seal matrix.
