A complete gem-set enamelled gold finger ring, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1550 to AD 1650). The box bezel is made of sheet gold and is 4.7mm high and measures 6.3mm long by 5.9mm wide. It contains a table cut clear transparent solitaire gem held in place by the infolded rim of the bezel. This gem is colourless and is likely a diamond (~ 1 carat equivalent) or possibly rock crystal (quartz), both widely used during this period (e.g Forsyth 2013: p166). Description: A complete, cast gold posy ring of Post-Medieval date, dating to circa AD 1625-1800.
The ring is circular in plan, semi-circular in cross-section, with a convex outer face and flat inner face. The finger ring has ornate moulded decoration on its outer surface. A gold and enamel memento mori (mourning) ring. The ring is a plain band apart from the image of a skull denoted by two eyes, nose and mouth with a circumferential line. The eyes still have traces of black enamel. The mouth is denoted by a series of raised dots representing teeth. The line around the face is misshapen, leaving more blank space inside the line to the left of the face.
The inscription inside the ring reads

Description: A complete Bronze Age gold item of jewellery dating to circa 2,300-800 BC. Now flattened and squashed, the piece is comprised of a cylindrical piece of sheet metal folded in on itself multiple times. The join is overlapping rather than soldered. The external face of the object is decorated with incised horizontal grooves running around the circumference. They cover the entire length of the piece.

It is formed from a disc of sheet metal with a separate short strip of gold, 4.06mm wide and 0.64mm thick, soldered into a suspension loop at one side. A complete gold ring of uncertain date. An undecorated gold annular band of hexagonal cross-section with a flat internal and external faces, the faces to either side being angled. On the internal angled face there is a sub-triangular silver blob - and there are traces of silver along the same face.
There is little sign of wear, except for some light scratches and scuff marks.

A gold later medieval or early post medieval gem-set ring with a square or box bezel. The bezel is set into the hoop and is 4.2mm wide. The setting is 1.5mm deep but has lost the stone, which would have been held in place by the ridged sides of the box and would have been either cabochon or possibly table cut. A complete gold bi-partite penannular ring dating to the Middle to Late Bronze Age c. 1300-800 BC.
The ring is comprised of two penannular rings of gold stacked one on top of the other and soldered together. Each ring is sub-circular (oval) in cross-section and sub-circular (oval) when viewed in plan. The terminals are flat one with a crack and another with a lenticular hole with possible void beneath. Description: A complete but warped cast gold posy ring of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1650 - 1725.
The object is a finger ring composed hoop which would have been circular but has now been squashed into an irregular sub-oval shape. The ring has a shallow D-shaped cross-section with a convex outer surface and flat inner surface. The ring is plain barring an inscription on the inner surface of the hoop. A gold mourning ring of late 18th century date. The ring comprises a simple hoop, 3.4mm wide and 1.3mm thick with an internal diameter of c. 18mm. The exterior has engraved decoration and an inscription in retained metal which reads: JOHN EDWARDS OB : 1 OCT 1776 Æ 64. There are traces of black enamel around the legend in the incised areas. The margins are beaded on both edges. The interior of the hoop is slightly convex and has two apparently identical maker's marks of JH in rectangular escutcheons.
