A gold, or gold-plated copper alloy penannular ring of late Bronze Age date. The ring has a near-circular cross section, 7.5mm thick and is 20.5mm in diameter with a 2.4mm gap between the ends. The surface is plated as is demonstrated in several places by damage (notably on one of the ends) which reveals a copper alloy core within. There is no sign of banding in differential shades of gold, this being a common form of decoration on similar rings. A Medieval gold and gem pendant dating to the late 12th-13th century. The frame is gold and sub rectangular, measuring 11.8mm by 11.0mm, with an oval opening in the back. The edge of the frame is 3.4 high and has inscribed letters +A+G+LA+ around the sides, beginning and ending with a small cross potent to either side of the suspension loop at the top. A fragment of gold ribbon of Bronze Age date (c.2350-800BC) Description: The fragment comprises a strip of sheet gold with transverse breaks at either end. One of these is a 'clean' cut so that the profile of the cross-section of the sheet is clearly visible, while the other is squashed and jagged. On one side of the sheet, a single deep score has been inflicted onto the gold. This runs down the centre, from one end to the other, suggesting this was done prior to the cutting. A complete gold Finger Ring of Modern date (AD 1800-1950). The object is composed of a distorted D sectioned band and corroded bezel. The bezel has settings for seven stones including three large settings, aligned horizontally with the hoop, and four small settings surrounding the central setting. The outer settings are broken and abraded and the setting are surrounded by black probable enamel. A complete gold button of post-medieval date (1500-1700). Description: The object represents an acorn, the main body of which is oval in plan and constructed from a single piece of gold. This has a horizontal curving fold across the centre which separates decorated and undecorated halves. The undecorated half, which represents the acorn itself, has a thickness of 0.5mm while the decorated half, which represents the shell, has a thickness of 1mm.
