A Roman gold finger ring with intalgio, dating to c.AD 150 - 250. The ring is of Henig type V. The ring is oval in plan and D-shaped in section. The bezel is wider than the hoop with sloping shoulders. The bezel is 12.1 mm wide, at its narrowest (to the rear) the band is 3.9 mm. The band of the ring is undecorated, though small hammer marks are visible towards the narrow hoop of the ring. The bezel has retained a blue oval shaped intalgio, made from nicolo (onyx).
