A thin, plain, gold Post Medieval finger ring dating circa AD 1724 - 2000.  The ring is severely bent and mis-shapen, becoming sub-anular in plan, U-shaped in profile and D-shaped in cross-section. Description: A complete gold finger ring, of 19th century date. The hoop of the ring has a twisted rope design around the entire diameter on its exterior face. The inside face of the hoop is plain, with no hallmarks. A Modern gold finger ring probably dating from AD 1800 - 1950, and thus too young to be declared as treasure under the 1997 Treasure Act. The ring has a flat hoop of rectangular cross-section. It widens and thickens at the bezel area. A separate elliptical decorated panel appears to have been attached to the outer face of the hoop to form the bezel. The bezel has settings for seven stones including three large settings, aligned horizontally with the hoop, and four small settings surrounding the central setting.
