Description: A fragment of a gold early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) disc brooch or pendant. It is roughly triangular in shape with a curved outer edge and two straight sides where the fragment has broken from the rest of the object. The edge of the curved side is bent upwards towards the outer face and a strip of beaded gold wire is soldered just behind this. The fragment survives in good condition. The brooch has four applied quatrefoil mounts at each corner (also in gold), however one mount has been bisected where a constriction in the frame allows the extant gold pin to be mounted. A gold pennanular brooch. The panannular frame is 26mm in diameter and 3mm wide. It is decorated with floriate design which appears to have been etched into a wider sheet and then shaped into its current form. The terminals are domed and adorned with filigree (alternate triangles and circles) and topped with a square cut green glass stone which sits atop the dome. the base and green glass have filigree borders. A gold open-frame brooch, roughly circular in plan, with an intact pin and two opposing, empty, collets. The frame is of oval cross-section and has a constriction, around which the pin loop has been folded. A transverse ridge separates the loop from the pin shaft, the latter of which is of flat section and tapers to a point. The two centrally located collets flank this pin. A complete gold Medieval lozenge shaped brooch dating from the 13th to 14th century date. The object consists on a lozenge frame which is elliptical in cross-section and undecorated. The pin is secured around the frame with a collared aspect, there is no indication of a recessed bar to accommodate it. The pin runs across the entire length of the frame and has a tapering rectangular form terminating in a pointed tip. A gold brooch with a plain thin frame formed into the shape of an asymmetric heart. The brooch is delicate, but complete. The frame is 1.5mm thick and eliptical in cross-section. The pin is present and is secured around the frame at the point where the side of the heart is more accentuated, or outwardly curved, and is narrowed to accomodate it.
