A gold Iron Age Stater of the North Thames Region of Cunobelin, in very good condition, dating to the period AD 10-40. 'Cunobelinus Classic' type; ABC 2796 / VA 2025. I strongly suspect that this is a stray from a previously discovered coin hoard (see IARCH-52EBCD / BERK-5F0997). It is also possible that the rare coin of Caesar BERK-DD0347 is also related, but this is less certain. A. Byard February 2022.
