An Iron Age gold quarter stater of the Southern Region / Regini and Atrebates struck for Verica, c.AD 10-40, 'Verica Little Horse Rearing' type. Obverse: COMF in tablet, ring and pellet above and below. Reverse: VI, Horse rearing right. As ABC1199, BMC1179-1206.

An Iron Age gold uninscribed quarter stater of the Atrebates, probably closest to Rudd's 'Selsey Dahlia' type, ABC 503. The reverse depicts a triple-tailed horse without mane facing right, with a ring-and-pellet extending forward from its neck as in ABC 509 (Rudd's 'Bognor Cogwheel' type) but with a floral sun above and a wheel below, as per ABC 503 (also a 'Selsey Dahlia' type). Rudd dates these types to c.60-50 BC.
Measures 16.7x13.2mm and weighs 1.37g.
