In an email Dr de Jersey comments: There are two possibilities to this coins identification. It's more likely to be an uninscribed 'western' type, ie traditionally attributed to the Dobunni, listed in Van Arsdell's 'Celtic Coinage of Britain' as VA 1010-3, and BMC 2942-46.
