This hoard was found in the 1990s and was acquired by Salisbury Museum in 2002. All the objects are Roman and date to the mid to late fourth century. The hoard comprises: - 2 gold finger rings - 44 silver siliquae - see also WILT-DE27B5 (additional siliqua) Finger ring 1. (Identifier Catherine Johns) The ring has been flattened but has not been seriously damaged. Though there is visible wear on the back of the hoop, the condition of the gold is generally very good.
