A gold posy / posie / posey ring of 18th century date. The ring has a plain narrow hoop with D shaped cross section 1mm thick and 2.2mm wide. The interior is inscribed "Love and live Happy" in an italicised script. There is a maker's mark of I.W in a rectangular escutcheon. The internal diameter of the ring is around 20mm.

A gold medieval gem set finger ring of 'stirrup' type, with the hoop expanding to a thickened bezel, 2.6mm wide and 1.2 thick with a recessed oval setting for a cabochon gem of around 3mm length, which is now lost. The hoop is extremely thin at between 0.6mm and 0.5mm thick and 0.7mm wide. It varies from sub oval to D-shaped in cross-section and has been bent out of shape; the original internal diameter was approximately 17mm. There are no marks or surface decoration.

A gold finger ring of 18th century to modern date. The hoop is plain and very narrow (1.6mm wide) with a D shaped cross section 0.8mm thick which has flattened sides. The internal diameter is around 19.9mm. It appears to have been made from a length of metal curved around and soldered to a butt joint which has been filed smooth. The interior appears to have a black (lacquer?) coating. There are no inscriptions or marks.

A gold posy/posey/posie ring of late 17th to 18th century date. The hoop is 17.7mm in external diameter with an internal diameter around 15.8mm. The hoop has a shallow D-shaped cross section, 0.9mm thick by 2.1mm wide, with plain exterior; the interior has the inscription A token of good will. At the end of the inscription is a stamped maker's mark within a sub rectangular escutcheon (second image); this appears to be a conjoined monogram GI / GH or possibly CH with the second letter being smaller and unclear.

A complete gem-set enamelled gold finger ring, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1550 to AD 1650). The box bezel is made of sheet gold and is 4.7mm high and measures 6.3mm long by 5.9mm wide. It contains a table cut clear transparent solitaire gem held in place by the infolded rim of the bezel. A gold mourning ring of late 18th century date. The ring comprises a simple hoop, 3.4mm wide and 1.3mm thick with an internal diameter of c. 18mm. The exterior has engraved decoration and an inscription in retained metal which reads: JOHN EDWARDS OB : 1 OCT 1776 Æ 64. There are traces of black enamel around the legend in the incised areas. The margins are beaded on both edges. The interior of the hoop is slightly convex and has two apparently identical maker's marks of JH in rectangular escutcheons.

A gold gem-set ring of Medieval date with an oval cabochon stone which remains in place. The bezel is constructed from gold sheet and is hollow and rectangular, 12.5mm by 11mm with a trapezoidal cross section which expands outwards and is 5.9mm thick. The stone is pale blue, most likely a large sapphire. The internal diameter of the hoop is 19.4mm. The hoop has a D-shaped cross section 1.5mm thick and tapers from the shoulders, where it is soldered to the bezel, around to the opposite side, where is has been deliberately cut at an oblique angle.
