Circumstances: Found whilst searching with a metal detector.
Description: Medieval gold annular brooch. The frame is flat on the reverse and bevelled on the front. It exhibits a constriction for the pin and projecting from one side of the frame is a pair of clasped hands. The hands have been made separately and sit in a small notch on the outside of the frame. A small tab projects from the underside of the hands and has been soldered to the back of the frame. Each of the fingers has been defined by an engraved groove.
