Fragment of gold sheet strip, one straight end complete, the other missing. Throughout its length one long edge is folded over by 1 - 1.5mm. Eight longitudinal grooves cover the remainder of the object apart from a narrow strip along the other edge, which was probably once also folded over. Possibly Bronze Age.

Fragment of probable Middle or Late Bronze Age gold sheet strip or ribbon ornament decorated on one face with nine longitudinal grooves. One end has been chopped obliquely, while the other is apparently complete and slightly convex. Length at least 16mm. Width 8.5 - 9mm. Thickness 0.4mm. Weight 0.86g. One end has been cut transversely or broken neatly, while the other convex end is apparently complete although crumpled and split across a single piercing. Width 10mm. Thickness less than 1mm. Description: Gold unidentified ornament of Bronze Age date. The object consists of a strip of sheet gold formed into the shape of a pointed oval. At either end, the long edges of the band have been folded inwards in order to create the pointed terminals. Near the tip of each terminal is a circular perforation. Both perforations are now blocked with soil. Dimensions: Length: 21.9mm, width: 4.6mm, thickness: 1.6mm, weight: 1.2g. The strip is bent at a sharp angle and has a number of dents, terminating in a jagged break. There are extensive scratch marks, probably from post-depositional damage.
