Description: Length of thick gold wire of circular cross-section, with a fresh granular break at one end and roughly rounded at the other (possibly an old break). It is curved along its length, forming about half of a circle about 35mm in diameter. The outer surface of the curve is smooth but the inner has slight longitudinal facets, as if hammered to shape.  It is slightly crushed and bent at the rounded end, and the damage has caused cracking to the metal here. Description and Dimensions: Small gold object, probably a tiny medieval finger-ring. A flattish pyramidal bezel 5.5mm square, with a very slightly concave reverse and a 1.5mm diameter circular indentation at the apex, forms the decorative centre. The opposite edges each have a very short flaring projection. 2.5mm wide and perhaps 0.7mm long.
