Treasure Case 2016 T1016. Description: Gold finger ring of medieval date. The bezel is square in plan and trapezoidal in cross-section. It is set with a dark red step cut gem, probably a garnet. There is a small nick on one side of the bezel. The shoulders project from either side of the bezel and taper to the bottom of the loop. 2016 T914 Description: Gold finger ring with engraved "posy" inscription on the inner face. The inscription is in italic script and reads "A smale remembrance". The outer face exhibits an engraved design consisting of a repeated foliate motif of a three-petaled flower or bud with sprays on either side. This is interspersed with three bees.
