Gold possible coin. A small plano-convex disc, thickest on one side, featureless and worn on its convex side but retaining part of an image on the flat side: a small seated figure with right hand raised. The figure is similar to the Fallen Horseman on later Roman nummi of AD355-361 (Reece period 18). Andrew Brown kindly comments that the object should probably be regarded as a late Iron Age quarter stater, issue of Haselgrove Period 2 phase 4 or later, 80BC-20BC Suggested date: Late Iron Age, 80-20BC Diameter: 9.4mm, Thickness: 1.8mm, Weight: 1.39gms

Gold ring. A thin possibly lightly hammered ring, perhaps of drawn wire, now distorted and bent. The band is twisted at one point. The current sad form is probably the result of adventitious damage. Thin gold wires might form parts of Roman pendant ear rings, though a much later use as a finger ring or necklace component, or an origin as debris from craftwork is equally possible.
