A complete Post Medieval, gold cuff link or cuff button dating to AD 1750-1850. Each fastener is octagonal in plan with downturned chamfered edges and depicts a central incised eight trefoil petaled octagonal flower. Each fastener has a liner octagonal border, annulets within. The rear of the fasteners is undecorated except for a makers stamp CQ or CO. Each fastener has an integral looped shank and are joined by an oval wire link. A possible Early Medieval (Viking) to Modern gold ingot/hack gold, dated to the mid 9th to mid 20th Centuries, AD 850-2000. The ingot is roughly sub-rectangular in shape with one end rounded and the other broken and flat. Dimensions: length: 13.14mm; width: 9.67mm; thickness: 5.83mm; weight: 4.16g. Gold ingots are traditionally difficult to date out of context but they are often attributed to a Viking date. A Post Medieval worn fragment of a gold dinar of North African (western Maghreb) and Southern Spanish (Al-Andalus) type dating from the 12th-17th centuries. From the style of the visible script, the coin probably belongs to the Sa'di Sharifs, centred on modern Morocco with mints at Marrakesh and Fas, possibly Ahmad al-Mansur (AH986-1012/AD1578-1603).
