A complete cast gold finger ring of post-medieval date (c.1700-1800).
Description: The ring is now slighlty squashed but would have been circular in plan. It is rectangular in cross-section and the same width all the way around the band. The band is composed of alternating simple moulded scrolls and ovals. The scrolls are engraved with curving lines which follow the shape of the scrolls while the ovals are engraved with a ring and a saltire, in turn creating quartrefoils at their centres. A complete cast gold inscribed 'posy' (or ‘posie’)-type finger-ring of post-medieval date (c.1712).
Description: The hoop is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The exterior surface of the band is undecorated. The inscription, which runs around the internal circumference, is in lower case italic and reads 'A true friends gift’. The inscription is acompanied by the maker's mark 'TM' underneath a crown. The ring is in the original form but the band shows some nicks.

Description: The ring is D-shaped in cross-section, the curved exterior surface engraved with a simplistic sidewards-facing skull with oval concave eye sockets. A row of notches creating upper teeth are engraved along a curved line which starts at the left brow and terminates at the right temple. A Medieval gold noble of Henry V (1413-1422), class E (North 1373; Spink 1744) dating to the period AD1413-1422, mint: London. Ref: North 1991: 69.
The coin is folded almost in half and is very scuffed on the obverse. The edge of the coin is cracked and missing some small segments.
On the obverse there is a pellet at the sword point, a trefoil by the shield, an annulet on hull and a mullet by sword arm characteristic of Class E.

The 'obverse' shows a potential monogram with the letters AX to the side, and may be influenced by the mongrams seen of, for example, some of the Merovingian royal coins. The 'reverse' may show a devolved Victory, possibly facing.

The coin has a silvery appearance suggesting it belongs later in the series when gold content was declining, the metal often termed 'pale gold' with inceasing silver content. It may date more closely to c.AD640-60.
