Fragment of Roman gold finger ring. The fragment consists of two box settings soldered to a backplate composed of a rectangular strip of sheet gold. One setting is a rectangular cell set with a piece of blue/green glass, the other a rounded box setting, now rather distorted, the setting from which is now missing. The angles between the cells have granulation in the form of gold pellets, some of which has broken away.
