An incomplete gold quarter noble of Edward III (1327 - 1377). Fourth coinage, treaty period, transitional series, dating to the period 1361-1363. North no. 1224.
Half of the coin survives, and this half has been folded in half creating a quadrant. The visible side of the coin is the reverse.
Measurements: length: 11.1mm; width: 10.5mm; folded thickness 2.93mm; weight 1.15g

A complete gold hammered quarter noble of Richard II (1377-1399 CE). North no 1318. The obverse shows a shield of England in an 8-arched tressure. The obverse legend is mostly gone, but probably reads RICARD D GRA REX ANGL. The reverse depicts a Lis at the centre. Reverse legend is also mostly gone, but reads EXALTABITVR IN GLORIA with single saltires between each word.

Gold quarter noble of Edward III (AD1327-1377), dating AD 1361-63. Obverse of the coin is a shield in a tressure with eight cusps ending in annulets, there is a beaded border both within and without the tressure. Obverse legend reads EDWAR DEI GRAC REX ANGL. Reverse is a foliate cross with Lis terminals and lions passant in the voids. The center of the cross is a small cross potent with a pellet in center and annulets in each of the voids. Reverse legend reads EXCALIBATUR IN GLORIA. Treaty Period coinage, North No. 1224.
