Gold quarter noble of Edward III (AD1327-1377), dating AD 1361-63. Obverse of the coin is a shield in a tressure with eight cusps ending in annulets, there is a beaded border both within and without the tressure. Obverse legend reads EDWAR DEI GRAC REX ANGL. Reverse is a foliate cross with Lis terminals and lions passant in the voids. The center of the cross is a small cross potent with a pellet in center and annulets in each of the voids.
