A small fragment of gold sheet was discovered. The fragment clearly is part of a larger object, but unfortunately close examination has proved unable to establish from what object the fragment came. It is impossible to establish the date of the object from which the fragment came. Analysis of the metal content of the fragment was also unable to provide further help in dating the piece. A gold enamelled and jewelled object of yet to be determined use, possibly a pendant, dress-ornament or belt-fitting. Openwork cartouche, central white enamelled square setting containing a cut garnet, on cruciform with short arms within elaborate blue and white enamelled foliate frame. Triple-ribbed suspension loop, small pierced trefoil at foot. The back of the setting stands slightly proud within incised cruciform marking-out lines. A ‘6’ or ‘9’ incised on the back of the setting. The gold content was found to be approximately 92%, the inset stone is a garnet.

The find consists of a single Iron Age twisted multi-strand style torc with ring terminals similar to others found in Norfolk over the last 60 years.  The torc has an internal diameter of approximately 20 cm.  It is made of predominantly gold and silver. It is made from four strands of wires twisted around each other two and a half times. Medieval gold pendant. A rectangular gold pendant with a suspension loop at the top and projecting pins at three of the corners. The fourth pin has been pushed inside the pendant. One side is crudely engraved with the head of Christ and the other with a half-length image of Christ as the Man of Sorrows. The pins are likely to have been designed to hold pearls, which have perished in the ground. Metal analysis conducted at the British Museum established the gold content to be 83% gold. Small penannular gold ring with decorative narrow banding in yellow and paler gold. The external surfaces are very worn. Visual inspection suggested that the piece consists of a gold covering over a base metal core; this was confirmed by scientific analysis. A fragment of gold jewellery possibly a necklace element dating to the Roman period. The fragment comprises a rectangular-section strip of gold wire which has been looped and bent to form an openwork motif, possibly a flower. This motif possesses four central circular loops and was possibly originally surrounded by four outer loops representing petals. Two fragments of circular-section gold wire are looped through the underside of the openwork element and secured by wrapping the wire around itself. The fragment has a length of 12mm, a width of 9mm and a weight of 0.46grams.

A fragment of gold chain from an item of jewellery, probably a necklace dating to the Roman period. The chain comprises three rectangular-section figure-of-eight links and six circular-section wire links with loops formed by wrapping the wire around itself. The arrangement of the links goes as follows: two wire links, one figure of 8 link, one wire link, one figure of 8 link, two wire links, joined by a smaller gold wire loop (perhaps a repair?), one figure of 8 link, one wire loop. The chain is 112mm in length and a maximum of 3mm in width. The chain weighs 1.1 grams.
