Gold alloy, strip-bow brooch found bent in half with the decorated outer edge of the bow on the exterior. The gold content has been confirmed by scientific analysis. Made from two pieces of gold sheet: one a tapered strip forming the bow (11.1mm at its widest point at the top/head end and 1.1mm thick), the other a short semi-circular piece at the head of the brooch hiding the coiled spring behind. Three of the stones survive and appear green in colour (probably glass). Each collett is supported by a collar of stamped decoration. The frame of the brooch has been bent slightly out of shape.
