TREASURE CASE : 2018 T19. Description: A gold ingot of uncertain date. The ingot is ovate in plan and section with slight pitting to one side. No distinctive marks such as nicks or hammering are present. Dimensions: Length: 24.8mm; Width: 7.3mm; Thickness: 6.1mm; Weight: 10.66g. TREASURE CASE : 2013 T587. Small gold-alloy ingot. The ingot is a flattened irregular oval, sub-rectangular in cross-section. It seems likely that it has been hammered to flatten it out, but surface irregularities remain. On one of the flattened surfaces, the metal has been heavily scratched. The pale yellowish colour suggests an alloy of gold and silver. The form of the ingot is not diagnostic to any particular period.
