A gold penannular ring of late Bronze Age date. This ring weighs 4.76g. The ring has an external diameter of 14.9mm x 14.0mm and thickness of 5.4mm. The gap between the two terminals is 2.2mm and the central area has a diameter of 6.0mm x c.5.7mm. The metal which forms the loop has an oval cross-section. Description: Gold late medieval to early post-medieval finger-ring. It has a rectangular bezel with a raised collet containing a clear grey glass or gem setting, possibly rock crystal. The gem is table-cut and has lost three large chips along one side. The walls of the collet are bent around the gem to hold it in place. The backplate of a late post medieval gold locket. The remaining part of the locket is made from thin gold sheet.
