Description: A complete gold and gem set finger ring. The hoop is sub circular in shape, with no decoration on the band. The gem is set in a rectangular raised bezel, positioned with the long edges at right angles to the hoop. A dark red or purple gem is set inside the bezel. It does not appear to be faceted. A complete gilded finger ring, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1500). The hoop of the finger ring has three panels, depicted as scrolls with black letter nielo inscriptions. Between each panel are three circular bosses. The inscription reads: good bere bourd. The finger ring has an external diameter of 21.2 mm and an internal one of 17.5 mm. The Hoop is 4.7 mm wide and 2.4 mm thick. The panels are 11.4 mm long. It weighs 3.0 g. The surface has been analysed using a tabletop XRF. A complete gold finger ring of 15th Century AD dating. The finger ring has a D shaped cross section. The exterior of the hoop is decorated with a twisted cable design, with an flat internal face. It has an inscription in black letter script, which reads 'De bon cuer', translated as 'willingly or from the heart'. A Medieval finger-ring, iconographic in type, with a representation of the Virgin and Child on its octagonal bezel. The shoulders are decorated with sprigs of foliage and the hoop is slightly chamfered and decorated with a triangular area of cross-hatching at its widest points. The ring is gold and dates from the late fifteenth or early sixteenth centuries. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. A medieval gold finger ring of iconographic type. The curved rectangular bezel is engraved with a representation of the Trinity - the seated figure of God the father, supporting Christ on the cross, and with a dove in the top left corner, representing the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. The figure of God has a halo. The shoulders of the ring are engraved with suns rays. The hoop is beaded, and is now distorted. Tiny traces of white enamel survive in the design. The ring probably dates to the 15th Century. Diameter at the widest point: 23 mm.

A complete gold finger ring: The bezel of the finger ring is an oval which is engraved with the bearded figure of St John the Baptist, who is cradling a lamb and has a cross behind them. The engraving is quite worn. The shoulders of the finger ring are undecorated and taper to the hoop which is D-shaped in section and undecorated. A complete gold finger ring, of uncertain dating, but probably Post Medieval to Modern in dating (AD 1750 to AD 1900). The finger ring has a flat rectangular sectioned hoop. The bezel is unusual, consisting of a concave recess, with an circular sectioned bar mounted above it. Domed terminals are present on either end of the bar. A Medieval finger ring, the hoop of D section. This is decorated on the internal and external surfaces with flowers and leaves, interspersed with the words of an inscription in French in black-letter lower-case letters. On the outside this reads + tant que murai and on the inside + vouz ceroire. This is likely to mean "Until I die I will be yours".
