An incomplete hammered gold object of uncertain function and date. The object is rectangular in plan and octagonal in section. One end is flattened to a more rectangular section. The other end is broken, leaving an irregular flat terminal. All of the surfaces are plain. The object measures 19mm in length, 8mm in maximum diameter and 6mm maximum in height. It weighs 5.80 grams.

Description: A gold mourning finger ring dating to the late seventeenth century AD. The finger ring comprises a simple hemispherical-section band, which is now distorted. The outer surface of the band is plain, with the exception of a small, stylised skull motif. The inner surface of the finger ring is engraved with the inscription 'Sequimini M.3.Jan 69' in an italic script followed by a small motif of opposing 'F's. Gold quarter stater from the Catuvellauni tribe, 'Tasciovanos Quatrefoil' type, dating c.25BC - AD10. Obverse shows alternating four ears of corn and four tear drops surrounding two back to back crescent moons. The whole design is slightly off centre. The reverse shows a central horse facing right with a series of geometric shapes surrounding it, including two pellets either side of the horses head and a collection of three teardrops by its tail.
