A possible fragment of a gold earring probably of Roman date (AD 43-300). The object is composed of the hook portion of an earring, the object is circular in cross section and U shaped in plan. Both ends taper to points. One end would have would have affixed to a decorative element, now missing. A complete gold finger ring (Guirauid Type 9a/ Henig Type IX) of Roman date (c.200-410). Description: The ring is polygonal, however now squashed almost flat, with eight inward curving facets creating pronounced ridges between each one. The ring expands from a relatively narrow band to create an implied bezel. Here, the facets have outward curving outer edges. The surface of the ring is undecorated but is pitted and nicked.
