Fragment of a gold quarter stater of QC type. It is apparently the only example of its kind. John Sills (Celtic Coin Index; CCI 09.3466) has classified it as a South Thames local issue - Double Hair Curls type. There are no close parallels, although there are many extremely rare local issues south the Thames. It dates to c. 60-20 BC. Obverse: Wreath, cloak and crescents obverse. Reverse: Triple-tailed horse right; wheel and two ringlets above; wreath to left. An exact match for this coin has not yet been made.
