Description: A gold inscribed Eastern (North Thames) quarter stater of Cunobelin, traditionally attributed to the Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, ‘plastic’ type, dating to the period c. AD 10-40. Obverse: corn ear without central stalk, CA to left, MV to right. Reverse: horse facing right with ladder mane, branch and pellet above and pellet and CVNO below. ABC p. 136, no. 2786/9, BMC p. 126, nos. 1818-22, VA 2010-3.
Dimensions: Diameter: 16.5mm, thickness: 3.2mm, weight: 5.34g.

An Iron Age coin hoard comprising two gold staters of similar date and from the same findspot, reported as potential Treasure (2017 T39). The coins are as follows:
1) A gold Iron Age uninscribed stater, Gallo-Belgic import of the Ambiani, c.60-50 BC, 'Gallic War Uniface' type. Obverse: Plain. Reverse: Sinuous horse right, pellet below, pellets above, eye shaped motif behind. As ABC 16. Weight: 6.03g, diameter: 17.8mm, thickness: 2.1mm
