Gold stater of Cunobelin, hoard addendum Date: Iron Age, c. AD 10-40 Description: A gold inscribed Eastern (North Thames) quarter stater of Cunobelin, traditionally attributed to the Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, ‘plastic’ type, dating to the period c. AD 10-40. Obverse: corn ear without central stalk, CA to left, MV to right. Reverse: horse facing right with ladder mane, branch and pellet above and pellet and CVNO below. ABC p. 136, no. 2786/9, BMC p. 126, nos. 1818-22, VA 2010-3. Dimensions: Diameter: 16.5mm, thickness: 3.2mm, weight: 5.34g.
