A Modern gold fitting, probably from a bracelet or strap, dating from AD 1850 - 2000. The object is a loop, decorated on one face and plan on the other. There are three lines of applied filigree running along the decorated face. The two outer lines are twisted giving a rope effect, and the inner line comprises a chain. The underside is flat and undecorated. It has a bright dark gold colour. The object is 23.0mm long, 4.8mm wide and 7.75mm thick.  It weighs 1.13g. Modern gold object, probably a jewellery fitting. The object is circular in plan and slightly domed. The upper surface is decorated with six dividing segments, alternating plan and with incised lines radiating from the centre. There is also three small pieces on the upper surface which appear to 'claw' the external edge of the body but do not extend to the reverse. On the reverse, there is a thin tubular attachment in the centre which has a hole running the length of the tube and piercing the front. Date: Probably early 19th Century Description: Gold double loop with chased decoration, perhaps a loop for a pendant or watch. Discussion: The gold is a very red colour typical of the alloys used at this period.
