A gold and gem finger ring of Medieval date, about AD 1150 - 1500, but most likely to be AD 1200 - 1300. It is a stirrup shaped ring, of angular D shaped cross-section on the hoop, with the sides rising up to a narrow upright bezel which is triangular in profile. There is a pentagonal setting at the apex. This holds a clear blue gem. It is white where damaged, perhaps suggesting it is glass. There is no other decoration, markings or inscription.
