An incomplete Late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval copper alloy candle holder, c.AD 1450-1550. The surviving part consists of one socket-like candle holder and part of the arm that it slotted into. The base, stem, spike or pricket, most of the candlestick's arm are missing. The socket has a waisted collar at the base. The socket is a cylinder with straight side, possibly decorated with stamped floral designs, although wear and corrosion make these difficult to discern. A slightly misshapen Medieval gold finger-ring with a blue cabochon setting (c. 1300-c. 1400). Treasure case no. 2019 T339. The bezel and setting are hexagonal in plan and taper towards one of the shoulders. Both shoulders taper towards the hoop and each has three triangular bevels. The central of these bevels points upwards and the flanking bevels point downwards. The shoulders, including the portion beneath the bezel, may be hollow as breaks can be seen where the bezel joins the hoop and also at the edges of the shoulders. A complete but misshapen Medieval gold 'stirrup' finger-ring (c. 1200-c. 1300). Treasure case no. 2015 T940. The hoop expands in width from the base to the pointed bezel. The bezel has bevelled edges on the underside and has an oval green cabochon glass or gem setting. Each shoulder has similar decoration in the form of three contiguous vegetal motifs, one above the other. An incomplete and misshapen Medieval gold seal finger-ring (1200-1400). Treasure case no. 2013 T465. This ring has a seal matrix on the flat circular bezel which measures 8.94 x 8.46 x 3.37mm. The hoop is 4.22mm in width on both sides of the bezel and tapers in width towards the breaks. Adjacent to the bezel the hoop has a maximum thickness of 1.83mm. The matrix is in the form of the figure of a lion passant. The matrix is worn around the edges and the face and tail of the lion have worn off. A late-Medieval to post-Medieval gold finger-ring with a misshapen hoop and oval collet, the setting is missing. Treasure case no 2012 T688. The collet is oval in plan and the upper edges project inwards in order to secure a rectangular setting. The indentations on each side of the collet are suggestive of petals. An incomplete and misshapen Medieval gold finger-ring with a cell for a setting. The simple wire hoop is slender and circular in cross-section. It has a soldered cone-shaped bezel that held a setting which is missing. The rim of the cell is broken and incomplete.Treasure case no. 2011 T405. 23.9mm (length) x 12.6mm (width). Weight: 0.95g. The find contains a minimum of 10% gold and predates 1711. It thus qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of precious metal content and age.
