The legends are abbreviated and read as KAROLVS:DEI:GRA:DVX:BVRG:CO:FLA (translating as 'Charles, by the grace of God, Duke of Burgundy, Count of Flanders'), while the reverse reads SIT:NOMEN:DOMINI:BENEDICTVM (translating as 'May the Name of the Lord be Blessed').

The find consists of a slightly buckled, tapering strip broken at both ends; length, 44 mm; width, 10 mm max. It is decorated for most of its length with transverse rows of punched dog-tooth ornament and, at the wider end, with two rows of apex-to-apex triangles with a single raised pellet in each triangle. The back is plain except for a lightly incised geometric motif at the wider end. The strip is part of a bracelet of typical Viking form, which may have been broken up as hacksilver for use as bullion in commercial transactions, and fragments of very similar type and decoration occur…

An incomplete Early Medieval silver coin; a penny of Aethelraed II (AD 978 - 1016). First hand reverse type depicting the Hand of God flanked by alpha and omega (probably Variety 1) and dating from about AD 979 - 985. See North number 766, and compare YORYM-91F4B0. The mint and moneyer are mainly illegible; the moneyer's name probably ended in STAN. Only part of the edge of the coin survives, so the legend is only visible between 5o'clock and 8 o'clock on the obverse. The coin is also bent. It is 16mm long, 16.8mm wide and 0.9mm thick. 0.68g.

An incomplete Post Medieval-Modern silver spur, dating AD 1600-1800. The spur is broken on both arms, one arm is broken near the junction with the neck and the other is broken further along the arm. Neither of the terminals remain. The neck is broken just before the rowel box, with only a trace of the bifurcated end visible. The rowel is no longer present. The object is dark grey in colour, with traces of it's orginal silver in places. Modern silver, copper alloy and cloth toy and coin, deposited in the early 20th century The find comprises a much worn silver coin, probably a sixpence of George II (1727 - 60), holed and found directly associated with a toy medalet. The medalet depicts an Edward VII penny and comprises two foils with internal cloth photographs of the royal family, now eroded.
