The whetstone is sub-square to D-shaped in section with rounded corners, particularly two adjacent corners, and a bar shape with irregular broken ends. The more rounded corners are probably from use. A possible whetstone of unknown date, it is rectangular in shape and measures 71.72mm in length 30.47mm in width and 14.1mm in thickness. The stone appears to be a limestone and has scratches across its faces and deep diagonal grooves along one side. Both faces have circular semi-perforated holes in opposing corners, these holes are in the same position in both faces but why they were not drilled all the way through is unknown. Worked object probably for use as a whetstone. The object is rectangular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross-section. Each end of the object is slightly rounded. The two sides of the object have both been worked and patterns of ware are visible. One side shows more use than the other, the centre of which is slightly convex. On the wider surfaces of the stone small inclusions of mica can be seen, however none are visible on the used sides. The stone is mid brown in colour. This object may have been in use from Pre-history to the Post-Medieval period. An exact date is unknown.

A very large whetstone, measuring 398mm x 45mm x 30mm. The whetstone is rectangular in plan and also in cross-section. The whetstone is a very fine grained light brown-grey colour, originally discovered in three pieces at the same place and later restored by the finder. The whetstone is very smooth and worn on three faces only. The fourth face is less smooth and has a different patina to the rest of the object, having a dark grey-brown patina extending approximately 3/4ths of the length.
