A Roman (AD 100-410) oxidised greyware body sherd with stamped decoration, probably Oxfordshire ware. There is possible residue of colour-coating in the stamp hollows suggests it might have had a reddish-brown wash. Measures 29.86x26.28x5.67mm and weighs 6.6g. The stamp decoration is in the form of a semi-circle of radiating triangles, reminiscent of a woodlouse.

A rim shard from a late Medieval thin-walled earthenware vessel. The rim is roughly triangular in cross-section and slightly everted. The original diameter of the vessel would have been around 12cm. The outer surface is grey-brown in colour, while the core is pinkish-brown. The fabric is fairly hard and gritty and is tempered with plentiful quartz (<1mm) and rare dark iron ore (<2mm).
