Rim fragment of 15th to mid-16th century wheel thrown high fired transitional ware. Red earthenware with black slip on the inner and outer sides. The rim is mostly broken away but what remains (the outerside and small part of the top) suggests it was upright, flaring inward and outward slightly near the top with aan angular possibly top and irregular trail around the outer edge. The walls appear straight and vessel was possibly a jar. It is too small to estimate the rim diameter. It is 32.1mm tall, 35.6mm wide and 12.0mm thick; it weighs 15.21 grams.
