Possible moulded lead pendant. The object comprises a heart-shaped plate with a broken loop at the top. On the face of the plate, the field is decorated with two concentric hearts formed from raised lines, one of which is punctuated with pellets. The reverse is decorated with irregular, raised cross-hatching; through the centre there is a bar containing possible letters: S o HH.

Lead cloth seal bearing a shield of Leeds. The object is circular in plan, slightly bent, with the remains of a loop on one side. The face of the object shows a fleece suspended on a cord within a shield with a bi-concave top. The outer border of the face has beaded decoration. There are indistinguishable scratch marks on the reverse of the seal. The reverse was not photographed due to an oversight at the event at which this object was recorded.

Fragment of Roman tegula roof tile. The tile is in a dark orange frabic with very small (under 1mm) flint or shell inclusions. The piece has old breaks on all four sides and is 131.8mm long, 85.8mm wide and 24.9mm thick; it weighs 384 grams. Only a small part of the phalange remains in one quarter.

Fragment of Roman tegula tile. Pale orange fabric with very small (1-2mm) rounded stone inclusions. Similar to SUSS-6D7544 which was subsequently picked up from nearby. The breaks on two sides are rounded but on the third it appears realatively fresh. The fragment is 145.7mm long, 51.7mm wide and 20.5mm thick; it weighs 281 grams. The flange appears complete in places and is 46.2mm high, measured from the base of the tile.

Body sherd of a Roman Samian ware vessel, possbibly a bowl of Dragendorff 35. The sherd comes from the lower part of the vessel, from the plain part between the ornamental frieze and the ring on which it stood. Not much of the frieze remains except some bundles of grass (?) and a kneeling or running figure.

The surface has a shiny dark red/orange surface at the base and becomes a dark brown towards the upper edge. The fabric is a fine orange colour. It weighs 11.1g. Samian Ware dates to the 1st to mid 3rd century.

A body fragment of a Samian ware vessel. The exterior is decorated with a row of ‘egg-and-tongue’ (ovolo) pattern with a fragment of an oval border. With a beaded line between. The surfaces have a shiny dark red/orange surface and the fabric is a fine orange colour. The ovolo decoration is found on Samian Ware Forms 30 and 37 which are a type of deep dish. This decoration dates the vessel to c. 69 to 110 AD.

Lead token from the Post-Medieval period. It is sub-circular with uneven edges. There is decoration/writing on both faces which is not central, possibly due to the irregular shape of the token. One face has 12R above GH (or II) in the centre with a border of pellets. The bottom part of this design is off the token. The other face has a shield with a cross inside, again surrounded by pellets. The design on this face is particularly off-centre, the right hand side part is missing.

Complete but worn ceramic floor tile dating to the Medieval period (c.1250-1450). The fabric is a mid red-pink colour with no notable inclusions readily evident. The upper surface carries a worn glazed design in dark red & yellow – a white coating has been applied beneath the glaze in order to brighten the original design. Sometimes the gaming counters are called 'alloy gobs' or 'alley cubes', a Victorian game similar to jacks. Regular mud-stone nodule used and shaped into a brick (ceramic building material) of probable Roman date (100-350 AD). The nodule is a similar size to the other examples (HESH-EA0F18 ) and found at the same site. It is broadly sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section. It is formed from a fine grained silt or mud stone which is mica rich. It is a uniform grey colour with a slightly powdery surface.
