Fragment of Roman flue tile, c.AD 43-410. This is a fragment of a rectangular tile with flat faces, with broken edges and corners. The obverse is scored with regular lines to help mortar to adhere to the surface. The breaks around the edges mean that no corners survive that indicate whether this is a wall or floor tile.

A complete Medieval cast copper alloy key, c.AD 1300-1500. The shaft is round in section and hollow, with a lozenge-shaped bow. The bit consists of two parts, with a deep, rounded cleft beween. The bit at the terminal is C-shaped, the other bit closer to the bow is scooped, appearing almost L-shaped. This key has a mottled green and brown patina and is worn and corroded. An incomplete Post Medieval silver cufflink, c.AD 1750-1800. This cuff link has one complete octagonal cuff link, a complete connecting wire link, a portion of the second cuff link attached, and part of the second octagonal plate. The cuff links have an octagonal plate with a deep lipped rim and an integrally cast loop on the reverse. This keyhole escutcheon has a flat plate of copper alloy with iron corroded to the reverse. The main body is mostly rectangular in plan with straight sides and decorative ends. A Post Medieval copper alloy sword belt hanger and fitting, c.AD 1550-1600. This hanger consists of a rounded rectangular strap link with integral transverse loop twisted at the centre, to which an S-shaped hook is attached. The hook is decorated with plain globular terminals and a grid-like patterning along the length of the hook. This appears to be a devolved snake design. This item consists of an oval metal locket frame with coveres that open on both faces, with hinges that formerly attached the frame to its counterpart cover. An oval pane of thin clear colourless glass remains in the frame on both faces, within an upstanding rim. There is an oval link which holds this to the other attachment loop, which is missing its oval plate. The cuff link is heavily worn and has no clear design on the obverse face. Incomplete Modern silver mount, AD 1917. This is a silver plate in the shape of a shield, with a small raised lip around all edges. On the inner face of the shield are three pointed rivets, folded in towards the centre. The reverse of the plate displays the hallmarks, which show this was made in Birmingham in 1917.

A late Medieval to Post Medieval handmade copper alloy lace tag, c.AD 1400-1800. Formed from a single piece of 1mm sheet by rolling into a cone shape, leaving an open end and a closed sharp pointed end. The open-end has a protruding rectangular section of the plate above, that appears to have a 'punch mark' on the reverse and is slightly bent forward. Possibly a means of securing the cord / leather to the chape. A very neat butt soldered joint runs the length of the tag. The surface displays a patchy green patina.

Post Medieval composite copper alloy button, c.AD 1700-1800. This button is comprised of a domed upper plate, a (now missing) back plate, and an inner attachment loop. This is a standard button-making form from the 18th century, which helps to date this item. The obverse of the button is decorated with a Naval anchor, surrounded by a wreath. The button is heavily worn and corroded with a mottled dark green patina.

Post Medieval mademade copper alloy cuff link, c.AD 1700-1800. This is a copper alloy version of a common silver cuff link made at the same time. The central plate of the cuff link is shaped as an octagon, with deep down-turned walls. On the obverse face is an incised flower design of six three-lobed petals surrounding a circular and cross-hatched centre. The reverse has a central wire attachment loop. A later Post-Medieval silver stud cuff link, c.AD 1720-1800. The octagonal button has down turned edges and is decorated with an incised Tudor rose comprised of two quatrefoil flowers which overlay each other and are offset. The centre of the flower is a small circle. The margin of the button has a border of incised curved lines creating cusps to each of the eight flat edges. A probably silver plaited wire ring of unknown date, probably dating to 19th or 20th century.  The object is likely a sleeve or collar for a hunting whip. The wire of the ring is circular in cross section.  Dr Helen Geake suggests that these silver rings of unknown date should be recorded to further research their dating. Complete Post Medieval-Modern copper alloy uniform button, c.AD 1825. This is a navy uniform button, consisting of a domed top plate and wire loop. The obverse face is decorated with a wreath on a lined background, surrounding a raised circular belt with buckle that is inscribed with ROYAL MARINE ARTILLERY. In the centre is a fouled anchor with the rope tied to the ring at the top, running under the left-hand stock, then under the shank to the right, under the shank to the left and then under the left arm. A grenade is on either side of the shank. Kindly identified by the finder.

Incomplete Medieval-Post Medieval copper alloy scabbard chape, c.AD 1485-1600. This is a damaged scabbard chape, made from a sheet of copper alloy folded into shape. The chape is decorated with a single quatrefoil opening on the obverse. The chape tapers in towards the base, and there is an overlapped vertical seam on the reverse. Both the upper and lower edge are missing due to corrosion and damage, probably sustained during deposition. This damage has destroyed any further decorations that may have existed.

This item consists of a square-sectioned shank that ends at one end in an old break and has a series of three uneven notches cut along one edge of the shank. The head of the stud terminates in a lozenge-shaped plate at the terminal. The plate is held on by a circular rivet or knop. The item is slightly worn on all faces and has a dull green patina.
