Retouched flint flake of Neolithic to Bronze Age date. Sub-triangular in plan and orange in colour with white inclusions. There are conchoidal fracture marks on the ventral face of the flint; these are spread out and so imply a soft blow method of production such as the use of a bone implement. There are further fracture marks along two edges of the flake, on the dorsal side only; these are small along the very edge with larger pieces flaked off towards the centre of the flake on one edge, representing two stages of reshaping. It is a tertiary flake which is sub-triangular in plan and section. The ventral and dorsal surfaces display faint conchoidal fractures. No other signs of working are evident. An incomplete knapped lithic barbed and tanged arrowhead of Bronze Age date, c.1600 - 800 BC. The arrowhead is formed from a tertiary flake of translucent mid-grey flin which is bifacially worked with covering, low angled removals on all surfaces. It is triangular in plan with two notches in the base between the central tang and a barb to either side. One barb is broken. Possibly Sutton B type. The arrowhead is 23.8mm long, 18.9mm wide, 3.6mm thick and weighs 1.3g.
