A tertiary struck flake of orange brown flint, possibly a late Neolithic flint tranchet / chisel arrowhead, 40.1mm in length. The object has a triangular plan with the bulb of percussion on one long side; this has been intentionally reduced with scaled semi-abrupt retouch. The broad end / cutting edge of the flake feathers from a tranchet removal but is not further retouched.

A Mesolithic tranchet axe. This axe is made out of ochre-coloured flint and has been bifacially worked. It now has a thick black covering following its depostion in a stream bed. The butt appears to have been broken diagonally. From the same findspot is a grey and glossy secondary flake with remaining cortex. There appears to be some secondary working along one long side. (46.39 x 26.42 x 6.58mm. Wt 7.42g.)

A flint tranchet axehead of Mesolithic date, 131.4 mm in length and made from a pale grey flint. The object is narrow, with parallel sides and a lozengiform cross section, with flake removals across all sides. The proximal end is rounded and the axehead tapers to a narrower distal end which has a cutting edge with a steep wedge-shaped profile, which appears to have been resharpened and has damage possibly from usage. There is a patch of buff coloured cortex on one face. The surface shows heavy white patination from proloned exposure to calcareous sediments.

A small, crudely worked Mesolithic core tool ("Thames Pick") of dark brown-grey flint, 141.6mm in length. The object has a roughly lozengiform cross section and has been shaped with removals across all sides. The flint likely started out as an elongated nodule, as demonstrated by the retention of around 20% coverage of buff coloured cortex in patches around half of its circumference. The narrower end appears to have a tranchet removal and facetting to create a blunt point. There are extensive losses due to post depositional damage, which contrast against the white re-corticat…

A flint tranchet axehead or adze of Mesolithic date, 118.2 mm in length and made from a dark grey flint. The object is triangular in shape and flares from a narrow butt to a slightly oblique cutting edge defined by several oblique removals which gives it a wedge-shaped side profile. The axehead has flake removals across all sides and has two large concave removals along one side which may be post-depositional damage.

A Mesolithic tranchet adze made from brown flint, 83.3mm in length and 49.7mm wide. The adze has been made from a single large flake with a flat side and a convex side demonstrating further working and removal of characteristic final sharpening flake (Butler, 2005: 100). The edges and tip are damaged. Likely manufactured from a flint nodule obtained from local clay-with-flints outcrops on the chalk Downs.

A flint tranchet axe or 'Thames pick' of Mesolithic date, 166mm in length and made from a pale grey flint. The pick is narrow, with parallel sides and a sub triangular cross section, with flake removals across all sides. The distal end is wedge-shaped in profile with a pointed cutting edge which demonstrates battering damage, some of which may relate to usage. There are two patches of light brown cortex on the dorsal surface and across the butt end.
